Times:
Roosevelt Lake can be an incredible fishing lake. At this time of year Crappie can be the preferred fish. The moon rise will be late at night and then only a sliver so, fishing under the lights should be great.
This event officially will be the 9th, 10th & 11th of April. Some retired guys will probably go up a few days earlier or stay a few days later to take advantage of weekday fishing. Roosevelt lake is in the Tonto National Forest and requires both a National Forest permit for your vehicle and a camping permit. Cholla campground and boat ramp is on the Tonto arm of the lake. Food arrangements: tba, we hope to have a communal cooking area (large grill) and we’re thinking if you could bring hash browns, bacon and eggs for breakfast and then hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch we could gather round the communal grill. Dinners we haven’t planned out, but the communal grill will still be available. A fishing license is required. If you have a fishing boat you can share with others, all will have more fun.
