In order to be supported and commissioned by Grace Community Church in being sent out to spread the Gospel, candidates must complete the following:

• You need to be a member of and have attended Grace Community Church for at least 2 years.
• Be active in spiritual teaching, discipling or mentoring of believers or non believers.
• Must be attending and committed to a small group, e.g. Home Group or Community Group, at Grace.
• Be involved in ministries at Grace by serving in the area of your gifts and passion.  See Grace’s "Ministries" webpage to find opportunities on service.
• Go on a short-term trip, preferably to the country where you would like to end up serving.
• Contact Debi Clifton for an interview to review our candidate preparation program and to discuss possible agencies and serving locations.
• Attend and complete the Pathways Class.
• Be assigned a mentor to help you through the process.  Contact Debi Clifton for more details.
• Read and view mission books and videos, available in Grace’s library.  Contact Debi Clifton for a suggested list.
• Go with an agency and fulfill their candidate requirements.  Below is a current list of agencies Grace Community Church partners with.  Visit the agency’s website to review requirements they will have, e.g. application, tests, out-of-state training.

• Candidates should raise financial and prayer support through personal contacts, friends and family.  Grace Community Church is able to provide very partial financial support so the candidate’s raising of support is essential.
• The Finishers Project provides Christian adults information, challenge and pathways for discovery and processing of opportunities in ministry and global outreach — short-term or as a second career.
